JP Pest Services has been in a steady growth curve for several years now and we are adding top talent to our team of professionals. The Senior Human Resource Generalist will serve an important role on the JP Team.

 

Role Summary:

 

The Senior Human Resource Generalist (SHRG) will play a vital role in the development and execution of JP’s Flywheel Strategic Concept. The SHRG will focus on the core strategies and tactics defined by the JP Flywheel Strategic Concept that are directly related to human resources functions and processes. Operational success is hinged on the SHRG’s success in the recruitment of new and culturally aligned talent. Beyond the talent recruitment aspect of the job, which is mission-critical and somewhat seasonal in nature, the SHRG will direct the company in areas of employee relations, employer-related government regulations and compliance, HR software applications, onboarding new hires, assisting with employee documentation and terminations, and manage a wide variety of other general HR duties.

 

The SHRG is a management-level human resource position reporting to the General Manager. The SHRG will require a high degree of organizational and detail-oriented skills to maintain timelines and deadlines for projects and goals that are critically important to uninterrupted and successful operations. The SHRG must possess a high level of maturity for confidential employee matters including compensation and medical concerns, strong and effective written and verbal communications, aptitude to learn and manage various HR-related software applications, and a desire to seek incremental improvements in current processes, policies, and systems. The SHRG must always possess a professional, calm, respectful, and even-keeled demeanor, especially when engaged with employee matters.

 

The SHRG has high-level responsibility to JP’s Vision, Mission, Values, Customer Value Proposition, and Strategic Anchors and should serve as a model employee. The SHRG will serve as a key spokesperson for the JP Culture when engaging with recruitment efforts, new hires, and existing employees alike. 

 

Skills & Qualifications:

 

  • College degree in human resources or business administration preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in human resource field with 100+ employees

  • Management experience preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of ADP preferred

  • Payroll administration

  • Benefits administration

  • Professional and confidential presence always

  • Exceptional written and verbal communications

  • Strength in directly managing sensitive employee issues and conflict

  • Ability to guide operations managers through employee issues and conflict

  • Talent recruitment expert with proven history

  • Full knowledge of hiring and onboarding process

  • Full understanding of employment-related laws and regulations for the New England states

  • Covid rules understanding and administrative experience

  • Manage Covid employee daily health screening process

  • Establishment and administration of employee workplace policies

  • Lead and provide guidance with employee termination and discipline processes

  • Understanding of employee retention trends and methods to improve

  • Coordination/Participation of Company Meetings

  • Coordination/Participation of Safety Committee Meetings

  • Conduct HR-related educational sessions for management staff

  • Other HR-related administrative duties as assigned by manager

Travel: Some local and regional day travel may be required to branch locations in MA, NH, and VT to assist in training or HR matters. Seldom overnight stays are required and usually associated with association events and meetings. JP holds four Company Meetings per year but have been postponed during the pandemic. These meetings are held offsite and do not require an overnight stay.
